The Hollywood Foreign Press Association provides these fascinating factoids . . .

It takes 30,000 square feet of red carpet to line the driveway and entry of the Beverly Hilton for the celebrity and VIP arrivals show.

Nearly 1,300 guests will dine and participate in the live telecast of the award show.

Nearly 3,000 additional guests will attend viewing and after parties throughout the hotel.

More than 185 media outlets, including 58 camera crews, 65 still photographers and over 100 journalists, will capture and report the red carpet arrivals and winners.

It takes 40 chefs, 110 culinary staff, 50 bartenders and 250 servers working nonstop to deliver drinks, hors d’oeuvres, dinners and desserts to attendees at the show as well as the viewing and after-parties. In fact, all of the Beverly Hilton’s 800 team members work over the course of the day/evening to support hotel operations, food and beverage and security.

Meals catering to more than 1,200 members of the media will be served the day of the show.

More than 10,000 silverware and plate settings will be used for the award show, viewing and after-parties.

67 cases (or 402 magnums) of Moet and Chandon Brut Non Vintage Champagne are served.

74 cases (or 3552 bottles) of Moet and Chandon Champagne Mini’s with specially made tops that convert the bottle into a champagne flute are served on the red carpet and throughout the evening.

20 cases (240 bottles) of Domaine Chandon Chardonnay will be served.

20 cases (240 bottles) of Newton Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon "The Puzzle" 2001 will complete the picture.
