Grammy to Mariah: we do not belong together?

It happened again! All night long at a Grammycast where Mariah Carey was expected to win album, record or song of the year, the biggest-selling female singer in music history suffered a humiliating shut-out across the board. What must her millions of poor dear "lambs" think now as they bah! bah! bah! and boo! hoo! hoo! at home? Well, at least this time the pop diva reaped some consolation: those three Grammy statuettes she won during the nontelevised ceremony. It's the first time she's received any Grammy love since being chosen best new artist of 1991.
Like the Oscars, the Tonys, the Emmys etc. etc. Politics reigns high, Mariah Like Kayne won a few awards. Mariah’s song Shake It Off, Kayne's Diamonds are Forever are more then just lyrics.
As a writer, I find they have pace, style and merit. Politics rules in the BIZ. As Bono of U2 said to his opening act next year.
If only it was that easy. Mariah's issue is that she is typed as a sex vixen, Kayne as a radical, and U2 well they want to save the world. Politics rules, hello its vertigo, I pod etc often rule over more controversial things such as sex and race.

U2 is the Iconic band for our times. Mariah, as talented as she is, has a long way to go to get full acceptance by NARAS. Her Emancipation of Mimi CD reminded us of her potential of greatness and longevity in the industry but she has miles to travel to reach the U2's patheon of achievement. Her vocal talent will always carry her, there's no arguement there.

Atleast she has a total of Six Grammys now.....Mariah's CD though popular is still rather mediocre at best and in a competition with Artist who take what they do so seriously ala U2 / Green Day....she was bound to loose. In my opinion Mariah in order to win those coveted Record / Album / Song Grammys...you are gonna have to strip down to what matters the most....THE VOICE / THE MATERIAL & THE DEMEANOR of a Grammy Champion.

Leave Mariah alone! To win 3 Grammy awards *IS* an achievement and she should be heralded cause she must have done something right this year to win that many since she's won nada in 15 years. And *INTERESTINGLY* enough not a *single* member of the press talks about a cocky high-profile rapper that got his name in the papers everywhere this season who won the same amount as Ms. Carey and was nominated for the same amount too and almost all of the same (well similar...considering both were nominated for Album and Record of the Year and similar categories in their respective genres). I'm so sick of this crap that everyone has to insult Mariah when she doesn't win a specific award when the truth is most don't even get to win *any* anyways, which she did.....
