Post-Tonys box office numbers reveal how Broadway audiences responded to the winners and nominees they saw on the June 11 Tonycast. The musical that won the most awards (5) — "The Drowsy Chaperone" — experienced the biggest jump during the week ending June 18: up 11 percent. However, "Chaperone" didn't win the top prize for best musical — that went to "Jersey Boys," which only experienced a 1 percent hike, the same jump experienced by best play winner "The History Boys." Those shows were already selling at close to capacity, while "Drowsy" had room to climb.

Here's the week's list of gross receipts and seating capacity percentage:

"Jersey Boys" — $1,038,229 (100.7%)
"The History Boys" — $772,219 (99.4%)
"The Color Purple" — $1,102,943 (98.4%)
"The Drowsy Chaperone" — $1,016,050 (95%)
"The Wedding Singer" — $629,876 (80.6%)
"The Lieutenant of Inishmore" — $213,760 (71.6%)
"Sweeney Todd" — $388,360 (58.9%)

Photo: Each week producers of "The Drowsy Chaperone" sell more than 11,000 tickets, which can cost up to $108 per seat.
