Emmy predix roundup: best pros and amateurs
Hmmmm. Our forums moderator Robert Licuria picks Christopher Meloni to win best drama actor. That's not far-fetched, if you consider the wow-pow strength of his submission to Emmy judges — the "Ripped" episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
Rob's the only one out on a Meloni limb for now. Look over the list of other Emmy predix that he posts at his Awards Heaven site and you can see how drastically various pundits disagree. What's really great about Rob's list is that it's not just journos mouthing off. Many of our smartest forum posters pipe in, too — ones who know this awards stuff better than many TV journos. Included are the views of our other two forum moderators Boomer and Andrew, for example. Boomer picks Denis Leary ("Rescue Me") to win the drama actors' Emmy. (Me, too.) Andrew opts for Martin Sheen ("The West Wing").

Photo: Surprisingly, most Emmy pundits listed at the Awards Heaven roundup pick Frances Conroy of "Six Feet Under" to win best drama actress. They're all wrong, I say — Alison Janney's got that category again.

I believe Chris Meloni will win as well. Best Peformance of his SVU Career.

Hey, would someone tell Licuria that EW predicted Sheen for best actor drama ("will" win), not Sutherland ("should" win).
And everyone get off the Leary bandwagon, would ya? The tapes are a nominal factor in this race this year.
