'Dreamgirls' reaps most Black Reel Award noms ever

"Dreamgirls" set a new record for most nominations in the seven-year history of Black Reel Awards bestowed by the Foundation for the Advancement of African-Americans in Film. Its 11 noms include best film, best actor (Jamie Foxx), best actress (Beyonce Knowles), best supporting actress and best breakthrough performance (Jennifer Hudson), best supporting actor (Eddie Murphy), best original score, best original soundtrack, and three tunes nominated for best song.

Also nominated for best film: "Akeelah and the Bee." "Inside Man," "The Pursuit of Happyness" and "Something New." See the full list of nominees — CLICK HERE!

Nominations were chosen by 100 movie and TV critics. Winners in the film and TV races will be announced on Feb. 7. The ceremony will be telecast in late February on the Black Family Channel.
