Forget the Oscars! YOU decide winnahs of the GoldDerby Awards!
For many years users of this website about awards (originally GoldDerby.com, before being folded into the launch of TheEnvelope.com) had the GUTS to tell those crazy Hollywooders who should REALLY win kudos as the year's best pix, TV and music. Now here come the nominees for the 2006 GoldDerby Awards for film, just compiled from the input of our forum users. Special thanks to our forums moderators for compiling the results.
Yea! "Dreamgirls" is up for best pic! Booo! Where's Peter O'Toole in the actors' lineup?

Talk about over-hyped movie to death --LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE....Just like Justin Timberlake, you think it's cute but you grow sick of it...

David, I shall NEVAH give up the Cry to Heaven for Oscar justice over the Dreamgirls snub, but, believe it or not, I had no input on these noms -- didn't even register a single vote. Our forum moderators can attest to that since they counted the beans.

Egad! Deamgirls again in the Best Pic race, I bet Tom has something to do with that and it had an automatic slot in every category. Jeez give it up Tom. You overhyped the movie to death!

They almost had it right...they should have omitted LMS from Best Picture...otherwise they put Oscar to shame...
