Justin, Beyonce & SpongeBob are the Kids' Choice
Justin Timberlake may have lost his title as best burper to the collective 12,000 belchers in attendance at Saturday's night Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles but he was pleased to be voted favorite male singer even if he "felt like a grandpa" hosting these kudos for kidcaster Nickelodeon. Online voters awarded child star Dakota Fanning her first orange blimp and child-like Adam Sandler his seventh as favorite film actors while Ben Stiller won the top prize, the Wannabe, as the star most kids would like to be.
"SpongeBob SquarePants" continued to soak up these kiddies' kudos like, well, a sponge. Not only did the show win best cartoon again, but best game, too — for its "Creature from the Krusty Krab" spinoff.
The show opened and closed with good sport Timberlake on the receiving end of hundreds of gallons of green goop. This 'sliming' is a rite of passage for those taking part in this most raucous of awards shows. Other adults getting a chance at a second childhood included Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker of the upcoming "Rush Hour 3" and Vince Vaughn who just wrapped the kid friendly "Fred Claus," playing Santa's older, bitter brother.
