Imagen all the awards for 'Ugly Betty'
The Imagen Awards, celebrating the best of Latino entertainment, are set to fete "Ugly Betty" star America Ferrera at their 22nd annual awardsfest July 28. Ferrera is to receive the Creative Achievement award during the ceremony at the Disney Concert Hall in downtown LA and she is also competing for best television actress. Her competition includes Eva Longoria of "Desperate Housewives," Judy Reyes from "Scrubs," and Constance Marie of "The George Lopez Show."
George Lopez is in the running for best television actor as are Miguel Ferrer from "Crossing Jordan" and Carlos Mencia of "Mind of Menica" among others. "Ugly Betty" and "The George Lopez Show" are competing for best primetime program against "Lost" and "Angel Rodriguez."
Best film contenders include Oscar winners "Pan's Labyrinth" and "Babel" as well as the Mel Gibson helmed "Apocalypto." "Babel" co-stars, Academy Award nominated Adriana Barraza and Gael Garcia Bernal, are among the acting nominees.
