The Primetime Emmy race has officially begun!

June 7, 2007 |  2:10 pm

Ballots are in the mail or else can be downloaded from the TV academy's website. All votes must be in by June 22. After ballots are counted, there will be a runoff in the acting and series categories. The top 10 vote-getters will have a sample episode to judges who'll rank them 1 to 10 in each category according to their preference. Judges' scores will then be mixed on a 50/50 basis with the result of the original popular vote of TV academy members. Presto! Then we'll have five nominees in each race.
