A cyber-crash foiled the TV critics!
"I take full responsibility!" cries Aaron Barnhart of the Kansas City Star, explaining why TCA didn't post news of its award winners at its own website till the next morning.
"I crashed the server last night while uploading a ginormous file of the audio feed of the TCA
Awards to the site so that our members could quote the winners' speeches accurately in their stories," adds Barnhart, who's a member of the group's Board of Directors.
OK, Aaron, I'll buy that, but not the next line in your email to me: "However, I don't expect people to go to the TCA Website for their TCA Awards news."
Huh? What?! Really?
"I expect my readers to go to TV Barn," he adds. That is Aaron's excellent website that, yes, I visit regularly for breaking TV news — and, of course, he had TCA info posted there last night. The proof —

"I have an email record of all of this in case you think I'm blowing smoke at you," he adds. "And that's why you didn't see me at the post-party."
Actually, I didn't go to the post-party, either, Aaron. Like you, I had website issues to tend to. Sorry to hear that yours were so hellish.
