"Rescue Dawn" was received so excitedly at the Toronto Film Festival last year, it was clear that "Dawn" might become more than just the first breakout commercial hit of a director beloved by the art-house
crowd. Cheers from film critics were guaranteed. If "Rescue Dawn" could be a hit with movie-goers, too, it has all of the elements of a big, important movie that could put director Werner Herzog and star Christian Bale in the Oscar game.
