L.A. film critics to vote for awards on Dec. 9

August 2, 2007 |  7:11 pm

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association will vote for its awards on Sunday, Dec. 9, then bestow kudos on Jan. 12. Expect the New York Film Critics Circle to vote on Dec. 10 — just one day after their West Coast counterparts.

I thought Graham's performance was great and definitely Oscar-worthy but the movie is way too low-key. Incidentally, the New York Film Critics Online will be voting again on Sunday December 9 and we'll probably have our winners around the same time as the LA Film Critics. We only have a few members in commone with the New YOrk Film Criitcs Circle but they do often see our meeting as a warm-up.

Word has it that Stephen Graham is a shoe in for an oscar nomination for his role as combo in "This is England"
I just watched the movie at the Landmarks and he is amazing in this wonderful film.
This film should be put in wide release!
So remember this name Stephen Graham - This is England - Best Actor 2008 Oscars!
