Rainn Wilson: advice to aspiring actors... good question
Rainn Wilson: first study the art of acting
Rainn Wilson: there is a serious craft that comes with it
Rainn Wilson: also study the business of acting and know that it is a separate skill entirely
Rainn Wilson: never confuse the two. 
Rainn Wilson: getting an agent is you running your own business 
Rainn Wilson: but FIRST you must learn, work, study and get really humble about your acting
Rainn Wilson: do as many plays and classes as humanly possible
Rainn Wilson: and then, maybe,  years later, you'll get a gig on six feet under and your career will take off
