Emmys for Grammer and Heaton in 'Back to You'?
On the face of things, "Back to You" looks like a good vehicle to take Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton back to Emmy glory. But reviews have been mixed. However, the network's made a long enough commitment to the show — 13 episodes — that it has time to find its way.
And Emmy voters sure do love Grammer. After all, he made Emmy history when he scored nods for his appearances as Frasier Crane on three shows: "Cheers," "Wings" and, of course, "Frasier." In that series' 11-year run, he was nominated 10 times, winning four. Heck, he even won an Emmy last year for his voiceover performance as Sideshow Bob on "The Simpsons." And Heaton is no slouch in the Emmy department either, with two wins to show for her seven Emmy nods for "Everybody Loves Raymond."
The L.A. Times gave it a good review: "Fox's 'Back to You' is back to TV comedy basics: multiple cameras, live audiences but, mostly, laughs." (READ MORE) Ditto the Hollywood Reporter: "There's no such thing as a sure thing when it comes to new TV series, but 'Back to You' is as close as it gets." READ MORE.
However, Variety says it "seldom rises above the mundane" (READ MORE) and the Chicago Sun-Times claims that it "stinks" so bad that it "shames the sitcom form." READ MORE.

Well, track records show that there have been actors who received emmy nods even though their shows were cacelled. Now it is a bit too early to predict the fate of Back to You, but even if the show doesn't make it I wouldn't be surpprised if either Heaton or Grammer or both received emmy nods, and may I say they would be well deserved. I personally liked the pilot mostly because of their performances and their chemistry so they might be potential emmy contenders, why not.

Yeah, but I still think Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton can get nominations. I mean, they are two of the biggest names when it comes to prime-time comedy. Especially Kelsey Grammer. So, I'm not positive on the show. But I think if the shows makes it, Kelsey and Patricia have real shots at emmy's.

i don't think either will be getting emmy nods for this show. The comedy categories are too crowded as it is- with Ugly Betty, 30 Rock, Desperate Housewives, Entorauge, How I Met Your Mother, Two and A Half Men and Scrubs all competing for nominations... It would take a miracle for this show to bump one of those shows out of any race.
