Oh, dagnabbit! I missed what Jon Stewart said about "*$!*'
All heck was breaking loose back in the press room in the aftermath of the Sally Field hubbub, and, darn it, I wasn't taking notes when Jon Stewart joined us and was informed about the TV gagging episode. He made a reference to the possibility that it could've been worse. Wish I had taken it all down, but I'm sure it'll play — censored — on the news channels and shows later, since it capped off the whole absurd scene so smartly. Actually, his best witticism came when he was informed that O.J. Simpson was now in jail and E! Online's Ted Casablanca asked Stewart the fantasy question: What would you ask Simpson if you could interview him right now?
"How does it feel, Mr. Capone?" Stewart replied -- or words to that effect. "You got away with killing people, but we nailed you on something else!"

Ain't it great. You can torture people, you can taser people, you can kill thousands of inncoent Iraqis for an illegal immoral war, but you can't say 'GAD Damn'????????
Oh, what a wonderful world of hypocrisy, we in our dying country have become. Just like the South during the heyday of Segregation. and hey, I hear from La. that it's coming back. Just don't stand under those nooses, unless you want to get arrested by the La. police. or the D.A. who can end your life, just as easily as he can arrest you for taking a shotgun away from a white redneck.
Lord help us!!!!
