Curious Golden Globes smackdown: Russell Crowe vs. Russell Crowe

Crowevscrowe

Good news for BAFTA producers and Manhattan hotel clerks! What goes around really does come around. The next slugfest Russell Crowe faces is against himself — at the upcoming Golden Globes. He was put in the lead acting race for both "American Gangster" and "3:10 to Yuma" by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's eligibility committee.

Other Globes eligibility news: John Travolta ("Hairspray"), Cate Blanchett ("I'm Not There") and Casey Affleck ("The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford") were all put in the supporting race.

No, it's not just Tom. EVERYbody bashes Russell Crowe...Nobody has forgiven him anything. And putting him AGAINST himself is like throwing him out of their race completely, but in a HFPA NICE way.

Just dont' forget both Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renee Zelwegger were placed in lead at the Golden Globes, and then Jones went on to win the Oscar in Supporting.

The Golden Globes is the most honest indicator of the Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor awards. They certainly carry more credibility than the Academy Award popularity nominations. Until the Academy revises it's voting process it will continue to lose viewers; i.e., The Beautiful Mind vs Training Day.
Does anybody remember Training Day?

I suggest it's time you give it a rest O'Neil.

Your constant Crowe bashing is getting very tiresome and repetitive. I think you need some new material.
