Frank Langella may be back in next year's Oscar derby

Roger Ebert is just one of many top showbizzers who's been ra-ra-ing for Frank Langella to nab an Oscar nom for his role as a forgotten novelist in "Starting Out in the Evening," but award voters so far haven't been listening. But there's hope that he may make it into the lead-actor derby next year for the film adaptation of the Tony-winning "Frost/Nixon" in which he portrays the shifty-eyed half of that title.

Over at Hollywood-Elsewhere.com, one of Jeff Wells' readers tattles on an early screening. "Frank Langella's Nixon is very good," the spy says. "Wearing very little make-up (thankfully), his performance is fully felt and fleshed out." READ MORE
