With "Diving Bell and the Butterfly" being a serious player in many Oscar categories, let's look back at how other foreign-language films have fared. Can you name the one that holds the record for most bids? How many nominations did it have? How many wins? ANSWER — CLICK HERE!
ANSWER: b.) — "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" earned the most Oscar attention (10 nominations, 4 wins), followed by "Life Is Beautiful" (7 nominations, 3 wins), "Fanny and Alexander" (6 nominations, 4 wins), "Das Boot" (1982, 6 nominations, 0 wins) and "Letters from Iwo Jima" (4 nominations, 1 win). "Tiger" and "Fanny" are tied for the most wins: 4.

Good catch, Rob! Fixed now.

Sorry to be petty, but there's a slight mistake here:
Fanny and Alexander won 4 Oscars, not 3 (foreign film, cinematography, art direction, costume design) and therefore shares the record for the most wins for foreign-language film with Crouching Tiger...
Minor, I know, but since F&A is my favourite film, I feel obliged to defend its status!
