Toronto crix pick 'No Country'; Austin thirsty for 'Blood'

The Toronto Film Critics Association concurred with most peers that "No Country for Old Men" is the year's best pic, but opted for a different choice for best actor (Viggo Mortensen, "Eastern Promises" by Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg) and actress (Canadian Ellen Page, "Juno"). All three pix were breakout hits at the Toronto Film Festival in September. (READ MORE).

The Austin Film Critics Association agreed with the recent choice of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association that "There Will Be Blood" was best pic and its star Daniel Day-Lewis is best actor. The Texas journos agreed with Toronto on lead actress, however, choosing Ellen Page. (READ MORE).
