MPSE sounds off with noms — There will not be 'Blood'!

January 25, 2008 | 10:41 am

The Motion Picture Sound Editors is, traditionally, the last of the tech guilds to sound off with its award nominees. MpseList of contenders for its Golden Reel Awards came out today and all Oscar players in the two sound races made the cut in various guild slots: "The Bourne Ultimatum," "No Country For Old Men," "Ratatouille," "3:10 to Yuma" and "Transformers" — except one: "There Will Be Blood." MPSE has lots of nominees in lots of categories, so it's strange that it couldn't be accommodated. There were a few other notable snubbees, too, including "Beowulf" and "300." Special awards will be presented to Michael Bay and Bill Wistrom when the kudos gala is held at the Wilshire Grand Hotel.

Good catch! Thanx for pointing that out. I've added it above

Sorry - There Will Be Blood is NOT up for a Golden Reel, but is up for an Oscar...
