Strike confusion caused Diablo to miss Critics Choice

After "Juno" won best comedy, the gang came backstage and made a surprising confession. Confusion about the writers' strike caused screenplay writer Diablo Cody to miss the show. At first she planned to boycott it deliberately because she thought that was the party line. Then, when she heard that it was really OK, she got caught up at a business meeting and didn't have time to break free, get home, climb in a gown and get to the ceremony. Below, many of the "Juno" crew who did make the event, including Ellen Page and Allison Janney. Click here to see up-to-the-minute photos from the event.

All this gushing over Juno is beginning to sound like the gushing of the over-hyped, but mediocre yet awful Little Miss Sunshine...Juno is cutesy, but bland entertainment not worthy of Best Pic...the script is okay (there's far better written scripts out there and original at that) but Diablo Cody will get kudos because of her trendy name attached to a mediocre script. So much hype for this little mediocre film is just freakin' annoying...Please Roger Ebert cut the ads...enough!

I can't be the only one who finds this funny.
