Winehouse no go, go, go to Grammys?

January 30, 2008 | 10:14 am

Amy Winehouse may want to attend the Grammys on Feb. 10, but it doesn't look like she can go, go, go. She's too busy going Winehouse to rehab, to which she'd earlier said, "No, no, no," of course.

"I'm not sure the Grammys are going to happen," her father told the London Mirror. "I don't want her to go — I think it might be a bit too soon for her. She's not well -- that's why she's in rehab. But she's doing OK. She is getting good treatment."

However, one of Winehouse's pals told the New York Post's Page Six: "Amy has been told she is going to appear at the Grammys in February and she agreed, but I was with Amy two days ago and if you had seen how bad she was you would agree the poor girl shouldn't be going anywhere, least of all to the States for an awards appearance.

"I understand why Amy's management wants her to attend," the pal added, "but she won't be ready, she is so fragile... She is an addict and needs to be watched around the clock." CLICK HERE

I wish Winehouse all the best, and I don't think that includes flying to the US for an awards show in the middle of treatment for addiction. She's immensely talented, and if she is able to recover and stay clean and sober, there will be many more award shows in her future.

Has Amy been told she has 3 weeks to live? x

i'd love to see her make a triumphant appearance at the grammies! she would show the world what real talent is! something the music industry is severly lacking these days! i hope she can make a recovery at least for the trip to los angeles just for one day! she won't be the firs t nor the last addict at the grammies. the big dif between amy and the rest is that she has something worht listening to!

Not to ruin all the suspense, but there's NO WAY she'll be well enough to attend the Grammys, anyone with an ounce of common sense could have told you that. Do people recognize the gravity of her situation? This woman is seriously ill and will need months to get her health back...so forget the Grammys already and pray she can recover from this....I'd say her survival is a long shot at this point!

Bummer!...I want to see her perform all drunk and high (for sh*ts & giggles)...just like when Mary J. Blige in the beginning of her career use to do...would have tongues wagging the morning after...
