If you ask most Hollywood industry pundits who'll win the Oscar for best actress, they'll say Julie Christie ("Away From Her"), age 66, but the young hipsters at IMDB.com claim that 20-year-old "Juno" star Ellen Page. Check out all of their predix — CLICK HERE

The Academy love their veterans...it will be Christie or Marion...Ellen only will prevail if Christie and Marion split the votes....obviously I see a great deal of JUNO pushing here and only 2 weeks before Oscars...hmmm, coincidence?...Stop it please...JUNO is mediocre and not Oscar worthy...

I have participated on IMBd's daily poll for the last few years on a daily basis. I can tell you from the results of most of the polls, that one would come to the conclusion that many of the voters are younger. Often when there are polls that contain older stars or films they never fair as well as the more contemporary stars or films. I often feel that their polls reflect a lack of depth simply because the fact that many participants are too young to have seen many of the older films. I always find it refreshing when you come across a younger person who has a knowledge of films back as far as the1930's or even the 1940's. By the way i'm 45.

Uh, I think the fact that more people in that poll have picked Cate Blanchett to win Best Actress than have picked Marion Cotillard, tells you everything you need to know.
