Entertainment Weekly cancels Oscars pah-tay, too

Everybody's clamoring on (and on) about Vanity Fair canceling its Oscar party, but how come nobody is mentioning that another slick, chic, Hollywood-friendly mag is nixing its kudos bash too, eh? That's Entertainment Weekly. Oh, that's right — because we're breaking the news right here and now.

Seriously are all these parties really necessary...or is it just hogwash competition to see who gets the most A-Listers at their soirees? Isn't the Governor's Ball enough? Good Lord!...
