Good thing James McAvoy's Scottish brogue is so thick that most viewers couldn't hear his admission that he stole the place mats at BAFTA. No one listening was probably laughing at his joke that he's starring in a silent picture next. Or that Americans, not Brits, laugh at "Atonement."
