Golden Boy gets Oscar channel on You Tube
Hey, who says Oscar is a fuddy-duddy? Really, that Golden Boy is so hip that he now has his own channel on YouTube. (CLICK HERE) Featured are 68 videos showcasing highlights of past ceremonies plus interviews with various winners, nominees and academy members.
Worth watching is a flashback to Billy Crystal singing a parody of "Don't Rain on My Parade" in 1991, tweaking voters for heaping lots of kudos bids on "Prince of Tides" without recognizing helmer Barbra Streisand. "Don't tell me not to make this film, I've got to," he croons. "Seven nominations on the shelf. Did this film direct itself?"
It's also great to relive Adrien Brody's infamous kiss with Halle Berry and and Jack Palance's one-arm push-up. And to hear Sidney Poitier reflecting on his surprising win for "Lilies of the Field": "It was amazing, amazing, amazing . . ." in his melodic voice born for showbiz.
Other videos are ho-hum, like hearing John Travolta share his favorite Oscar moment: him bestowing the Lifetime Achievement Award on Barbara Stanwyck. He offers no insight into how great it was that the acad finally hailed an Oscarless icon or, as an eyewitness, how the audience greeted her. No, of course, the moment was all about him. He thinks it was so cool because she reminded him of his mom.
Also, make a point of skipping Lynzee Klingman carry on about what it was like to be nominated for her film work on "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." "I was anxious all the time," she says. "What am I going to wear? Who am I going with?" Oh, yeah, also: "I was scared we were going to win." No worries. She got devoured by "Jaws."

Please upload some clips of Whoopi Goldberg's performances. Though it's been some time, but they are really hilarious.
