Nicole Kidman to present a special award for Pollack or Legder?

"Leonard Maltin said Nicole Kidman is going to present 'a very special award,'" notes our forum's poster 'seanflynn.' "The only honorary award we know about is to Robert Boyle, the Ledgerpollack2Hitchcock/Norman Jewison art director, with whom Kidman has no connection, and there were reports Tippi Hedren or Eva Marie Saint might present (why not Jewison?)

"My guess is Sydney Pollack for the Thalberg — he'll be there as producer of 'Michael Clayton' anyway, and Kidman was in 'The Interpreter' and also 'Cold Mountain,' which Pollack produced."

That guess would make sense since Hollywood is seriously concerned over Pollack's health, to which many Oscar-watchers attribute the strong support for "Clayton" (seven nominations, including best picture) in which the Hollywood legend offers a restrained cameo.

Others in our forum believe that the very special award may go to the memory of Heath Ledger, who was Australian, as is Kidman.
