Bye-bye, Shrine! Emmys move to the new Nokia Theatre

After residing for more than a decade at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the Emmy Awards telecast will move into the new Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Sept. 21 as part of a 10-year deal. The new facility, located across the street from Staples Center, has 7,100 seats — that's a hike of more than 1,000 from the Shrine's capacity.
