'Appalled' journo leads protest against Emmy for Bill O'Reilly

April 12, 2008 |  8:21 am

"I am appalled, just appalled!" cries TV journo Barry Nolan, raging against plans to give Bill O'Reilly a local Emmy Award in Boston where the controversial Fox News Channel host once worked at Channel 7.

Nolan told the Boston Herald that O'Reilly is a "mental case" who "inflates and constantly mangles the truth . . . and his frequent target is the 'left-leaning' media — the ones who do report the news fairly. And those are the same people who will be sitting in the room honoring him."

Nolan is a former anchor of "Hard Copy" and reporter for "Extra"; O'Reilly was once anchor of rival tabloid TV show "Inside Edition."

Local Emmy chief Tim Egan insists that O'Reilly will be honored next week: "You may not agree with him, but you can't say he hasn't increased the political conversation in this country with his style of broadcasting."

Just because certain liberals feel that O'reilly doesn't deserve an Emmy, makes it allright...right?

I guess they really don't inhale either when they smoke marijuana, and are really "not" having sex when someone is smoking their "cigars" on their desks at the work-place. Funny thing, then they wonder why their significant other is all bent out of shape.

AIM,

Ask any Jew if Vanessa Redgrave's rhetoric "at that time" were just as impressed with her "maniacal behavior" as you are with O'reilly!

it's called broadcast journalism in a society that lobby's and supposedly solidified in freedom of speech.

Upon receiving an Emmy, Oscar, Tony or Grammy, those who are awared them are NOT particularly adorned by 100% of those who follow television, motion pictures, tne Broadway state or the music industry.

Fact is, some of his colleagues (some probably hold liberal views) feel that it is his "journalistic-ability" to broadcast his point of view is worth rewarding him an Emmy.

Your reacting like those so called "conservatives" should they been "outraged" by Rosie O'donnell winning her collective Emmy's.

2,000,000 viewers is enough to award this man an Emmy...hence Shellly Long won her first Emmy as best actress in the early 80's when Cheers came in dead last in the Nielson Ratings. Stay with the topic of awards Silly Truth...so 6,000,000 to 2,000,000 viewers, your point is what?

Simple Truth,

show me a pastor who doesn't masterbate and I'll show you a liar.

Show me a feminist, and I'll show you a girl who most young men found repulsive to look at in high-school.

Show me someone like simple truth, and he thinks all views opposing his are simple liars. You must have been a jellyfish in your last life "simple".

If you are a woman, you must really ugly. If you are a man, you must have lice around your groin.

Great. Another liberal whining about Bill O'Reilly. At some point, people in Hollywood will get the point that hating Bill O'Reilly isn't affecting anyone's opinion of him one way or the other.

Barry Nolan is on a rampage... read the item on TabloidBaby, com

to Orlando who apparently believes the majority of Americans think like O'Reilly does - Katie Couric is viewed as a failure as aan anchor - because she only gets a nightly audience of 6 million. O'Flafel Man gets an audience of 2 million. You believe everyone thinks the same as you as because you only talk to and listen to - people who think the same as you. Too bad.

Vanessa Redgrave was never anit-semitic! She was opposed to what the zionists were for, at that time! She has explained this over and over, ad nauseam! But some people simply refuse to listen!

Rewarding Bill O'Reilly's frothing rhetoric, with the excuse that he is influential, is tantamount to blessing maniacal behavior!

The "journo" opposing theO'reilly's Emmy obviously thinks 100% percent of those living in Boston, and Massachusettes in general, are all liberal thinkers...think again "journos"...

How dare you !

Should it be 1907 and an Arfican-American ran for president, your kind who think that your views is the majority, would be appalled too, right?

If that were the case Vanessa Redgrave, with her anti-semetic rhetoric, should have not been awarded the Oscar, either...FOOL!
Don't think your type
of journalism represents all of America's political and social views.

Thank you very much !
