Cold-hearted Oscar won't embrace 'Young@Heart'

April 9, 2008 | 10:34 am

Too bad "Young@Heart" is disqualified at the upcoming Oscars just 'cause it aired on British TV in 2006. But take heart, fans of this exhilarating documentary: It should still do well with awards from critics' groups. Screening and festival audiences have gone wild over this pic about a Massachusetts chorus of feisty senior citizens who croon Bob Dylan's "Forever Young," Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go," Coldplay's "Fix You" and other hipster tunes at inspiring concerts. Currently in limited release; opens wide on April 18. Read Comingsoon.net scribe Edward Douglas' interview with its filmmakers HERE. CLICK HERE to see the trailer.
