Correction: There was a screening of 'Doubt'!

April 11, 2008 |  6:45 pm

Miramax just did a flip-flop. Now a rep says that there was a test screening of "Doubt" in Manhattan this week, conducted by producer Scott Rudin. Miramax says it did not know about it because the studio was not involved. OK, but why didn't one of Rudin's film reps know about the test screening either when I asked one of them about it earlier today? Gold Derby regrets communicating both false reports from official sources.

I will settle this-

I went to an early screening of 'Smart People' on Monday night on the Upper West Side and a man there was giving out passes to see 'Doubt' on what I believe was either last Tuesday or this Tuesday. So by next week people WILL have seen it, if not already now
