Breaking Emmy news from the TV academy. Here's the release:

For the first time in its 60-year Primetime Emmy Award history, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will be opening an official website for posting and viewing "For Your Consideration" screeners of Emmy-eligible programs and professional achievements.

The site, which is being produced in conjunction with the Hollywood Reporter and the Nielsen Co., launches on Monday, May 19, and will provide Primetime competition entrants a platform for voting members of the Television Academy to view their work. The website will be secured, password protected and only accessible by those voting members. These screeners will remain on the site through Friday, Aug. 29.

This year, companies and individuals will be able to mail hard copy "For Your Consideration" screeners to Academy members and use the screener website at no extra charge. Entrants who choose to exclusively use the screener site will no longer have the additional expenses of DVD replication, postage, packaging and fulfillment house charges.

Maureen McCormick, who played Marsha Brady in the classci legendary comedy "Brady Bunch", was one of those legendary, gifted actresses never nominated for an Emmy either.

Judy Norton, also a gifted actress who played the oldest daughter in her unforgettable potrayal of Mary Ellen on "The Waltons" was also a gifted actress never to be nominated. In the 80's she showed her true talents posing for Playboy. It didn't boost her career, however.

I could never figure out why.

Butterfield Thighs!

Linda Evans never winning an Emmy?

Probably for the same reason why Morgan Fairchild was denied the role that eventually went to Liza Minellie in "Cabaret". Like DUH?

Why was Linda Evans, who brilliantly portrayed Crystal Carrington in the classic night-soap "Dynasty" never nominated for an Emmy for best actress in a drama.

I think Linda is capable of acting with likes of Katheryn Hepburn, Meryl Streep or Dame Judi Dench, don't you think?
