Emmys clarification: Most voting starts Friday

June 4, 2008 |  4:55 pm

The 200 members of the TV academy who requested paper copies of the Emmy eligibility lists can vote this week whenever they get the contender rundowns. The other 13,800 voters must wait until 6 p.m. PDT Friday, when the lists may be accessed on the academy's website. All voters cast paper ballots and have received them by now, but this year the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences opted to go green and cut back on printing the phone-book-size lists of potential nominees. Only voters who requested copies will get them.
