The wedding's back on! Gina finally thanks her fiance
Gina Tognoni's victory for supporting actress is no shocker: three of our four pundits saw that coming. Storyline: head injury caused talking problems, so she had the physical handicap thing going on in the episodes she submitted to Emmy judges.
Oops, she forgot to thank her fiance Joe, an insurance exec, in her acceptance speech, so that's why she hurried to blab it on that thank-you cam bit. Finally, a reason for that to exist!
Backstage, she also revealed where she keeps her first previous Emmy: "It's in my closet right now. I just bought a place in Hoboken. But now I have bookends and will put them in my office."
Anthony Geary is officially Gina Tognoni’s good luck charm as he presented her with both her Emmy Awards for supporting actress. Though Tognoni went without a single Emmy nod during her six years on "One Life to Live, " she was soon competing in the supporting actress race after joining "Guiding Light" and won in 2006 and again tonight. Last year, she was bested by Genie Francis who won her first Emmy for her short-lived return to "General Hospital."
