• More Emmy presenters have been announced: America Ferrera, Laurence Fishburne, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Hayden Panettiere (pictured at right), William Petersen and Vanessa Williams. They join the previously announced lineup: Marcia Cross, Dana Delany, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria Parker, Nicollette Sheridan, Hugh Laurie, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, plus Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

• Marc Malkin of E! Online reports that Kathy Griffin will probably be added to the lineup soon, which could make the Sept. 21 show quite interesting considering the heaven-hurled lightning bolts she had to dodge for days after accepting her Emmy for best reality program at the Creative Arts show last year. Don't remember? Check out our podcast chat with Kathy HERE in which she warns that, if she wins again, "Everybody's in trouble!" Hmmm. Is that true if she also gets to the podium as presenter?

• The Directors Guild of America will present its awards on Jan. 31 at the Century Plaza Hotel. Ballots for feature films will be mailed to members on Dec. 1, TV ballots on Dec. 15. Film nominations will be unveiled on Jan. 8, TV bids on Jan. 9.

• Nominations for the Latin Grammys will be announced early morning on Sept. 10 by Tejano singer Graciela Beltran, Latin R&B/reggaeton singer/producer Flex, actor Esai Morales and past Latin Grammy winner Lila Downs. The awards ceremony will be held on Nov. 13 at the Toyota Center in Houston, telecast by Univision Network at 8 p.m. ET.
