Emmy predix: 'John Adams' 'can't lose' best TV miniseries
Don't expect any surprise in the Emmy race for best TV miniseries, according to the predix of our Emmy gurus forum moderators Robert "Rob L" Licuria (AwardsHeaven.net) and Chris "Boomer" Beachum.
BEST TV MINISERIES: BOOMER'S RANKING
1. "John Adams"
2. "Cranford"
3. "The Andromeda Strain"
4. "Tin Man"
BOOMER'S COMMENTS: If "John Adams" loses this election, I may have to give up Emmy predicting forever. Not only would it be the big favorite in most any year, the competition is unusually weak as well. In fact, I would say that if it loses, it would be an even bigger upset than when "Lonesome Dove" lost many years ago. I would bet everything I have on this one.
BEST MINISERIES: ROB'S RANKING
1. "John Adams"
2,412. "Cranford"
2,413. "The Andromeda Strain"
2,414. "Tin Man"
ROB'S COMMENTS: I am surprised that this wasn't made one of those "area awards" or "special awards" that the Emmys sometimes bestow -- where there is only one nominee and one winner. Because, really, let's be honest, anything other than "John Adams" has a snowflake's chance in hell of winning this one. I'll bet my house on it. In the event that the Earth turns off its axis, then the only mini with even a glimmer of hope is probably "Cranford" for the monumental upset.

Cranford is what an Emmy winning miniseries is; it has beautiful scencery, a wonderful story and excellent acting by all the actors. John Adams was boring and had no substance. Cranford will win this by a mile.

Everybody is expecting a real sweep for JOHN ADAMS. I doubt it. It's going to take Miniseries and Directing for sure, with Paul Giamatti being the favorite for actor in a leading role. And the mini will possibly get supporting actor. I doubt the writing victory, I doubt Linney's victory (Dench will be the winner)...

weak category?? I ve seen three nominees except John Adams and:
Tin Man is fun
Andromea is really entertaining, and Cranford is COMPLETELY WONDERFUL, the best movie I ve seen this year. Acting, tech, humor and drama, literary flair: it has it all.I really hope it wins.
