Holy 'Doubt' trailer! Meryl Streep is creepy again!
Try not to flinch when viewing the trailer for "Doubt," which just came out today. Meryl Streep hasn't been this scary since her last Oscar nomination — for "The Devil Wears Prada" — but this time she's playing a nun in a role
that earned Cherry Jones a Tony Award as best actress in the Broadway production of "Doubt," winner of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize for best play of 2005. Even though there's much real doubt about this nun's allegation that a priest (Philip Seymour Hoffman, best actor winner for "Capote") molested a school boy, watch her shout the famous line, "I have my certainty!" It's chilling.
Meryl Streep holds the record for most Oscar nominations among performers (14). However, she only has two wins (lead for "Sophie's Choice," supporting for "Kramer vs. Kramer"), which is half as many as all-time Oscars champ Katharine Hepburn.
John Patrick Shanley, who won an Oscar for writing "Moonstruck" in 1987, adapted his Broadway script to screen. This film adaptation is produced by the same chap who staged the play — Scott Rudin, who had two best-picture nominees in last year's derby: "No Country for Old Men" and "There Will Be Blood." It also stars Amy Adams, past nominee for best supporting actress for "Junebug."

Meryl Streep is the greatest actress ever born!!!
Not even a third Oscar is enough recognition of her talent.

Enough priest bashing? I don't think so. As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure that Hollywood hasn't even gotten started with it.

I never heard of the Broadway play, "Doubt." Now there is a film based on this overdone Catholic priest bashing. I am a Catholic and the priest bashing must stop. The Catholic church has paid enough for these crimes our priests committed. Enough, is enough!! Don't filmmakers know when to stop????

Great theater; but have no interest in going to see the movie, based on the trailer.
