Oscars pundits predict noms for 'Frost/Nixon,' Mickey Rourke and Anne Hathaway
Our latest polling of Oscarologists yields less agreement than previous ones. The only consensus picks: "Frost/Nixon" will be nominated for best picture, Mickey Rourke ("The Wrestler") for best actor and Anne Hathaway ("Rachel Getting Married") for best actress.
Our team of gurus: Thelma Adams (Us Weekly), Scott Bowles (USA Today), Erik Davis (Cinematical), Greg Ellwood (MSN Movies), Kevin Lewin (World Entertainment News Network), Tom O'Neil (Gold Derby, TheEnvelope.com).
Even though Warner Bros. is campaigning Heath Ledger in supporting for "Dark Knight," Oscar voters can put him in lead, if they'd like. (Voters don't have that same freedom at the Golden Globes and SAG Awards where eligibility committees determine category placement.) Apparently, Thelma Adams believes they'll pull that switcheroo on Ledger.

Whqqt about Greg Kinnear for Flash of Genius? Clint Eastwood is overrated from the acting perspective...let's give him oscars for directing!

In short dramatic films - I put high odds on my film "My Simple Story" to be one of the five selected nominated films.

Why is Heath listed for best actor when everyone knows he would be placed in the best supporting actor catagory?

Hey Tom - you're the only one holding out on a KST nomination for Best Actress. What gives? Curious why you think a newcomer like Sally Hawkins has an edge over an 'overdue', let alone highly deserved, nom from a v. established and beloved actress?
