CBS strikes gold with leading 12 nods for Business Emmys
CBS continues its domination of the Business and Financial Reporting Emmys with a leading dozen nominations for the sixth annual kudosfest. That is twice as many as CNBC and four times that of Bloomberg. Among the top contenders are "60 Minutes" with five nods and "CBS Sunday Morning" and CNBC's "Business Nation" with four apiece. One-time CBS anchor Dan Rather competes against his former net with two nominations in the long-form category for his HDNet show "Dan Rather Reports."
The awards will be handed out during a Dec. 2 luncheon at the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center. David Schlesinger, editor in chief of Reuters News, is to be honored with a lifetime achievement award. These kudos are bestowed by the Gotham-based National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which also administers the daytime and news Emmys. (The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in Hollywood handles the primetime Emmys.)
