'Slumdog Millionaire,' 'Happy-Go-Lucky' sweep Satellite Awards

The International Press Academy — a rebel faction of the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. that began dispensing its own kudos in the early 1990s — just announced winners of its 13th batch of Satellite Awards.

Best drama film: "Slumdog Millionaire"
Best drama actor: Richard Jenkins, "The Visitor"
Best drama actress: Angelina Jolie, "Changeling"
Best comedy/musical film: "Happy-Go-Lucky"
Best comedy/musical actor: Ricky Gervais, "Ghost Town"
Best comedy/musical actress: Sally Hawkins, "Happy-Go-Lucky"
Best director: Danny Boyle, "Slumdog Millionaire"
Best supporting actor: Michael Shannon, "Revolutionary Road"
Best supporting actress: Rosemarie DeWitt, "Rachel Getting Married"

sooo happy to see Angelina Jolie getting some recognition. BTW, all leading actresses in the lead category for drama, have been nominated for OSCAR...Even Diane Lane, who won the Satellite in 2002....so much for no credibility. In the male lead actor, only 2 winners didn't make it at OSCARS (Cox and Stamp)
