EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Michelle Williams gives an arresting perf in 'Wendy and Lucy'

December 2, 2008 |  9:37 am

In "Wendy and Lucy," Wendy (Michelle Williams) and her doggie Lucy take a road trip to Alaska, where she hopes to nab a job in a fish cannery. Unfortunately, Wendy is broke and so is her car, which croaks somewhere in Oregon. Desperate to feed hungry Lucy, Wendy attempts a boneheaded ploy that lands her in the clinker. (see video clip below.) When she finally gets out, Lucy has run off and the car won't run at all. What to do? See the outcome when the full, 80-minute film debuts in theaters later this month, in limited release, starting on Dec. 10. Williams' quiet, passionate turn — a "superb performance," says Variety — might be a kudos contender.
