Nelson Branco of TV Guide Canada confessed he had a "nervous breakdown" after getting his "dirty hands" on the Daytime Emmy pre-nom lists of "One Life to Live" and "The Young and the Restless."

The lists contain the names of stars who the TV series recommend for nominations. Each cast endorses two thesps per category. In the lead diva clawfest, "The Young and the Restless" advanced last year's champ Jeanne Cooper plus Judith Chapman. "One Life to Live" opted for Kassie DePaiva and Susan Haskell. In the lead-actor slugfest, "The Young and the Restless" chose Peter Bergman and Christian LeBlanc, "One Life to Live" picked for Bob Woods and Michael Easton.

Poor Nelson is outraged over the "One Life to Live" snubs: Trevor St. John (Todd), Erika Slezak (Viki), and Melissa Fumero (ex-Adriana). His Suds Report column fumes that the "Young and Restless" oversights are "even worse": Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki), Eric Braeden (Victor) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) failed to make the list.

"The Suds Report is trying to learn if the aforementioned actors submitted their names for Emmy contention," Nelson adds. "Make sure you’re sitting down when you see who Y&R pre-nominated for outstanding supporting actress!"
