EASIEST OSCARS QUIZ EVER: Which two movies suffered the worst shutout?

Oh, come on! Every serious Oscarologist knows the answer to this one! Name the two films pictured below that are tied for enduring the most Oscars losses (11) without a win. If you don't know the answer, you must click HERE , then attend Oscar 101 class (four hours mandatory per day at The Envelope) and promise to never, ever again wager money when filling out your Oscars pool ballot!

ANSWER: "The Turning Point" (1977) and "The Color Purple" (1985). "Chinatown" (1974) won one Oscar (original screenplay) out of 11 bids. "Anne of the Thousand Days" (1969) reaped only one (costumes) out of 10 nominations.

I guess I counterbalance WI Dilettante; I knew "The Color Purple" was robbed big-time, but not the other one.

Oh, darn. I knew the answer to this one but was hoping if I clicked the hyperlink, I'd get access to some more questions that I could cadge for my own quiz this year. Guess that's what I deserve for my larcenous thoughts.

By the by, this then-teenaged critic knew -- absolutely knew -- The Turning Point wuz robbed. (It wuz, wuzn't it?)
