That's right. When she won the Golden Globe as best actress in a TV comedy series, Tina Fey ("30 Rock") mentioned how hurt she is by some of the tough things The Envelope's forum posters say about her in their postings. Here's the transcript of her acceptance speech:
"I want to say thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press. I'll always love the Hollywood Foreign Press and have all the Hollywood Foreign Press action figures. Thank you, Will Arnett, for that joke. But I want you to really know how lucky I am to have the year I've had this year and, if you ever start to feel too good about yourself, they have this thing called the Internet! You can find a lot of people there who don't like you! I'd like to address some of them now! BabsonLacrosse, you can suck it. DianeFan, you can suck it. Cougar Lover, you can really suck it 'cause you've been after me all year. And to my husband, Jeff, I love you. Thank you very much! "
Backstage in the press room, I asked Tina to elaborate. Here's what she said.

Tina Fey is just another in a long line of unfunny little people who scrape out a living by mocking people of real accomplishment. What has Fey ever really done? Her writing for SNL has yielded nothing of consequence. What famous or earth shattering comedy bit did she come up with? As usual, the "humor" she displays is sophomoric and forgettable. In a few years she'll be just another trivia answer. Life goes on, people accomplish, and the chirpping of the pointless critic remains as unimportant as ever.

First of all, I would like to congratulate Tina Fey on her win because in my opinion she is a very good actress with great comedic timing.
You are very funny and very attractive. Despite the haters , MILLIONS OF PEOPLE found you wholesome and entertaining. I hope you get many more opportunities to entertain. You rock.

SNL makes fun of EVERY famous politician and Sarah Palin was certainly not singled out for "abuse". I'm a liberal Dem and have loved the SNL spoofs on Bill and Hillary over the years. Repubs must get a sense of humor or else the "O" years in the White House will be especially painful forr the next 8 yrs..

I'm a born and raised Alaskan from the 50's and can only say one thing, you go girl . You hit our useless governor as it should be. She is a twit and Tina showed it perfectly. Tina would probably make a much better governor than Sarah. Palin is a self-centered idiot, who just happens to run my state. She's a total joke. You like her, come live her for the next two years, then leave when she gets the boot. Sounds like a deal to me.

Tina Fey ROCKS!!!! As for all you WHINERS, she never EVER complained about the internet posts, she was simply being FUNNY!!! Come on, people, LIGHTEN UP!! Acting is her love and livelihood. It's human nature to be curious about what others think of you. She was thinking she would find constructive criticism, but instead she found posts from members of the "Tina Fey Haters Club"! I suggest you people SUCK IT up, , quit crying, GET BACK TO YOUR APPARANT BORING LIVES. and stop bashing a woman living her dream (and probably yours) and having a great time doing it!!!! Secondly, I'm kind of young, so maybe I'm naive, but I really wish we could stop being angry at people we don't even know. It just makes me sad to see so much hate. Dislike is fine; everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. But hate is just a destructive emotion. I wish we could just accept our differences in opinion and stop the below-the-belt attacks. Anyway, I'm sure someone is going to hate me now and say something mean, so maybe I shouldn't come back here...

I am delighted my daughter has Tina Fey as a role model. A devoted mother in a balanced relationship, witty, lovely, and self effacing. Excellent family values, Tina.
Tom - I don't believe Tina said she was "upset" by negative commentary. Her observation was something of a set-up to the "suck on this" comment. The larger joke was the use of goofy blogger aliases, how the man on the street has a forum (we liberals think this is a good thing even when the man on the street is a moron), as well as a few other sub jokes. Then there's the satisfaction in the puerile revenge theme of "suck on this".

I think it's interesting that Tina Fey can't stand a taste of her own medicine. She has been making jokes about other people that are way below the belt and now it comes her way and she uses an award show to whine about it! Poor Tina!. Not!!!!! Every time I see her I wonder what it must be like to look so much like Sarah Palin considering how much Tina can't stand her! Tina, here's one for you: what goes around, comes around. Oh, so Tina Fey doesn't like people saying mean things about her? Too bad she rose to stardom by making a fool out of someone else (Palin). And too bad that so many liberals hide behind their anonymity and trash Bush to no end (DailyKos, MoveOn, etc.). Yeah, ya gotta love the hypocrisy of the Left. Tina's diss on the internet was great, even if it was a rewrite of a Kevin Smith Joke from the movie Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
Tina Fey is a comedy gift, 30 Rock is one of the better shows on TV in my opinion and to call her a hypocrite for having a diss on Bush yet getting paid by AmEx (posted by kj), where is the logic behind that thought? Or is it with out logic and just based on hate?

She's just not funny or talented - that's the worst thing about it. Her entire Weekend News schtick on SNL consisted of some lame, retread Bush joke, then she and Amy Poulter would pause with little whisps out the sides of their eyes waiting for the audience to "get it" (laugh). Her stuff is just not insightful, interesting or funny!
She pretends to be some loose cannon with this astute political view, all the while she whores it out for American Express - hypocrite.

Again, as reported by the NY Daily News and Gawker, 1 of the people she told to suck it was a fan of hers and said nothing bad about her on The Envelope.
Perhaps she could apologize to that person in her SAG speech?
Maybe next time she tells a joke like that she can atleast insult your actual enemies as opposed to a real fan. Its not like 30 Rock can afford to lsoe any viewers.
