Can the Jonas Brothers outperform Miley Cyrus?
Last year at this time, the Jonas Brothers were appearing as the opening act for Miley Cyrus in her Best of Both Worlds tour. This Friday, Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas star in their own concert film: "Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience." Last night's premiere of the picture at the El Capitan Theatre — across Hollywood Boulevard from the Oscars' home at the Kodak Theatre — brought out hundreds of screaming girls. This weekend, millions of them will be swarming cineplexes.
The Miley Cyrus movie of her concert tour, "Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Tour," made $65 million domestically, including a staggering $31 million for the opening weekend. And while Cyrus won't be making an appearance in this movie, her best friend and recent Grammy Awards duet partner Taylor Swift will be. Middle brother Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift dated for a time during filming. At those Grammys, the Jonas Brothers lost best new artist to Adele. Last year Taylor Swift lost that same Grammy race to Amy Winehouse.
Though Miley Cyrus recently landed three Kids Choice Awards nominations — favorite TV actress ("Hannah Montana"), favorite singer and favorite movie voice ("Bolt") — she did not land a nod for her concert movie. At these upcoming kids kudos, the Jonas Brothers are competing for best group against Daughtry, Linkin Park and the Pussycat Dolls. While they will be performing at this March 22 awards fest, could the boys be back next year contending as movie stars?

No, but I am sure as soon as it's on DVD and a holiday time. All the stores won't have it and Disney will watch them pull a Christan Bale for them. Anyways, their music is okay at best, it never appealed to me. But I hope the kids like it. I have seen teen pop from it's last decade and that wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be. But anyways, their cool for tweens and teens right now. They at least play instruments, and aren't embarassed to show it off like the boybands of my day were, and yes, NSYNC, The Backstreet Boys, and 98 Degrees all could. I am sick of the Jonas Brothers! They are so boring and i dont like Nick Jonas cause he's a player!!! I think Miley is waaayyyy! better than them although i think Joes cute but he was sad to taylor swift

i think the Jonas Brothers will beat out Miley Cyrus for sure. i mean the Jonas Brother Fans Base has been going out of control ever since it was released that a 3D concert was coming out. Now Miley did extremely well with her 3D concert but you have to ask yourself "how much of those fans were Jonas Brother Fans?" also they have 2 guest performers, compared to mileys 1. i also watched both trailers promoting the movies, and i can say that the Jonas Brothers trailer was the most interesting, and i think makes you wanna see it more.

yah they probably will do better, but it is being shown on more screens than mileys movie. plus, disney has been promoting the shit out of this movie. so many commercials and tv specials or w/e AND they are getting private jets to fly them to various theaters across the country. the whole jet idea is bad in my eyes because it is such a waste while it hurts the environment.

There are three of them so they have that advantage...however Miley is a juggernaut that can't be stopped and I hope her record stands.

I think they'll be awsome at whatever they do. Their amazing, and talanted. Im not just saying this cuz their cute! their an amazing influence, they have morals unlike alomost every other celeb out there! I really respect them and look up to them, I hope I find Boy Freind like that some day.

I am sure they will do better at the total numbers simply because they have something close to 1000 screens for this week, though the number comes down for the second week because all the big I-Max screens are contracted to carrying something else the following week. But screen for screen it probably will be similar in numbers simply because Miley's was pretty much sold out and so will these guys.
