Amy Poehler says she's not in an Emmy 'clawfest' against Tina Fey!

Amy poehler tina fey

Ouch! Amy Poehler ("Parks and Recreation") really lets me have it over the spirited way I sometimes like to refer to her potential face-off against Tina Fey ("30 Rock") at the Emmys. OK, OK, she's got a good point. "Clawfest" is a sexist term. You wouldn't say that about men in combat. But you might use "slugfest" in that case, right?

All joshing aside: there's a serious chance that the two great pals could end up as rivals in the contest over best comedy actress. Since Tina won last year (plus two more Emmys on the same night — for writing and producing best comedy series "30 Rock"), we decided to help out the underdog a bit. Give Amy some advice. Like what episode of "Parks and Recreation" she should submit to Emmy judges if she nabs a nom. And she seems to appreciate it. (Thanks for your input, Boomer!)

In our webcam chat below, Amy tells us what's ahead for her new NBC sitcom.

Good Luck, Amy!
Glad to hear your acknowledgment of Chris Beachum. He seems to really know the "science" of winning awards!

' Saturday Night' strugled,
or languished at the bottom of advertising agencies(I isn't that what it is all about in the long run?
for many years.(remember Chevy Chase).and, now that it has commerchal plausibility and the mice are jumping ship
I find it admirable that Tina& Amy are not forgettng
where they started.
Do you think that John Belushi would come back as a guest as many times as these ladies?

Poehler has a better shot in the supporting category for "Saturday Night Live" -- although Vanessa Williams for "Ugly Betty" is way overdue for a trophy.

Is she allowed to submit in the lead category for "Saturday Night Live"? THAT would be a REAL battle between her and Fey.
