Inside track: Emmy race for best comedy series
For two years in a row "30 Rock" has claimed this category, last year also reaping the most victories ever by a comedy series (seven). Can it finally be beaten? "The Office" prevailed here in 2006. "Family Guy" aims to become the second cartoon series ever nominated in this lineup (after "The Flintsones" in 1961).

Pushing Daisies not only has a prayer, it is a hell of a lot more likely than several of your "front-runners" (e.g. Family Guy, Ugly Betty, etc.)

Admit it. You pushing "Daisies" is wishful thinking. It doesn't have a prayer.

Oh yeah, I missed the 'Pushing Daisies' omission. Well, almost spot on.

Glaring omission: "Pushing Daisies." Even cancelled and long gone, it has a better shot at a nomination than "My Name is Earl," "Desperate Housewives," "Scrubs," and "Better Off Ted." It made the top ten last year and has been popping up in media dream ballots and FYCs, keeping the memory alive.
