Gold Derby nuggets: Latin Grammys announce noms Sept. 17; more movie kudos dates; 'Green Zone' no go for 2009 Oscars

• Nominations for the 10th annual Latin Grammys will be announced Sept. 17 in L.A., with the awardscast airing live on Univision Nov. 5 from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Latin Grammys

• Two more movie kudos have announced the dates of their year-end festivities. The Gotham Independent Film Awards (a rival to the Indie Spirits) unveil their winners on Dec. 1 at the swank Cipriani Wall Street. The National Board of Review announces honorees two days later, with its awardsfest held Jan. 12 at Cipiriani 42nd St. Gotham / IFP NBR

• Two ABC reality-show personalities – Carrie Ann Inaba ("Dancing with the Stars") and Chris Harrison ("The Bachelor") – are the new red carpet hosts for TV Guide Network. They replace former soap star Lisa Rinna and onetime boy-band singer Joey Fatone. TV Guide

• "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" will open the 53rd London Film Festival on Oct. 14. The animated flick – adapted from a Roald Dahl story by writer/director Wes Anderson, with George Clooney and Meryl Streep leading the voice talent – unspools in Britain on Oct. 23, and Nov. 13 stateside. Could this be one of the three films in the animated feature Oscar race? USA Today

• Potential Oscar contender "Green Zone" is out of this year's race, with a new release date of March 12. The Iraq war drama reunites Oscar-nominated director Paul Greengrass ("United 93") with "Bourne" star Matt Damon. Oscar-winning scripter Brian Helgeland ("L.A. Confidential") adapted journalist Rajiv Chandrasekaran's 2006 nonfiction bestseller "The Imperial Life in the Emerald City." Coming Soon
