Emmys' red carpet: Friday, 7 a.m.
Here's what I saw early this morning while doing a TV segment with Sam Rubin for Los Angeles station KTLA outside the Nokia Theater as workers get ready for the Emmycast. I'll be part of KTLA's live red-carpet show Sunday airing between 3 and 5 p.m. PDT. Tune in! I'll be on a balcony of Staples Center just opposite the red carpet in front of the Nokia.
For now you can see curious scenes. Look at the palm trees prostrate along the red carpet as if bowing to the superstars who'll be strolling by very soon. The platform with plastic covering its steps belongs to E! Entertainment Network — it's where Ryan Seacrest will be holding forth with celeb chatters, later, after the network decorates the platform with its logo and trimmings.
