Oscar poll: Who do you think has the early lead in the best actress derby?
Sony Pictures Classics has so many fillies in the lead actress race that the studio's pushing several out of the gate early. Who has the best odds to go the distance? Pictured above, left to right: Abbie Cornish ("Bright Star"), Carey Mulligan ("An Education") and Audrey Tatou ("Coco Before Chanel"). And two posts down is another poll that considers the Oscar fate of Abbie Cornish separately.

of the three choices, i bet only one gets a nomination. the obvious omission of meryl streep is glaring. meryl has to be the lead at this point. she hit it out of the park.

Mulligan's nice, Cornish is superb and Tautou is a revelation in "Coco." Still it's Arta Dobroshi in the Belgian film, "Lorna's Silence," who gives the best performance I've seen from any actress in 2009.

Here we go again....ignoring Meryl Streep....what is this? If she is not recognized this year as lead actress...there will be outrage... She does far more than imitate...she becomes!

There all films that will go nowhere. If one gets a nomination she's lucky. And where is Meryl ? Bright Star is doing no business so she's out

where is meryl streep for julie&julia? that's the earliest lead you can call. but you simply turn a blind eye or act ignorant about it!

in this list Carey is the front runner BY FAR, but we still have Meryl. That will be a great fight
